Mrs. Charlene Smith
Director
Charlene Smith joined Prevent
Child Abuse Wyoming in April 2007. She comes to us with a
strong background in project coordination, working for the
National MS Society, Wyoming Health Resources Network, Inc., and
the State and Federal Government in Nebraska. She received her
Bachelor of Science Degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University in
Lincoln, Nebraska. Charlene and her husband, Derrold, live in
Burns where they are raising four wonderful children, Norman,
Derik, Paige, and Arin.
Sheila McKinnell
Intern
Sheila Goff McKinnell has
three children, five stepchildren, 17 grandchildren, and three
great grandchildren. Most of her family lives in Oklahoma,
Texas, and Utah.
Sheila has an Associate
Degrees in Business Administration, and minored in Accounting
from Oklahoma Junior College, Tulsa, OK. She also attended
Rogers State University in Claremore. Oklahoma in Drug and
Alcohol Counseling, and minored in Psychology.

BACCUS: and The Psychology Club.
In her spare time, Sheila
writes Poetry and Children’s Books. She has had several poems published.
She is working on a new book of Poetry and working on a novel.

Intern Administrative Assistant. She says she is enjoying the position
and learning new things.

Risner
Administrative Assistant
C. J. Risner joins Prevent Child
Abuse Wyoming as our Administrative Assistant from Denver,
Colorado where she resided for the past nine years.
She is a native of
Oklahoma but has lived in Denver for the past nine years. C.
J.’s career path includes 30 + years in the insurance adjusting
industry with supervisory experience as a Branch Secretary,
Account Adjuster, Workers Compensation Supervisor and Branch
Casualty Supervisor. She is the proud mother of Lynda; a
homemaker and mother in Thornton, CO; who graduated from the
University of Colorado Suma Cum Laude, and a son, Sgt. Joseph
Earl Risner of the U. S. Marine Corps, who resides currently in
San Diego, CA with his wife, Amber. Lynda and her husband, Dan,
has made C.J. a grandmother of 2 girls, Melanie, age 3 and
Kaitlyn, age 3 months. C. J. is very active in the Masonic
fraternal organizations, community involvement and enjoys
people. She is a published poet, both nationally and
internationally and some of her poetry has been recorded and
distributed nationally. Currently she is trying to compile her
poetry, written since about the age of 12, into a book dedicated
to her children. She is also working on a historical novel which
she admits at this point is slow with only about 4 chapters
completed.

The board is constantly searching for new members who live
throughout Wyoming to join them. If you would like more

Kim is a Business Analyst for eBay, Inc. She has been with
eBay for over 6 years. She lives in Cheyenne with her
husband and children and is a new member of the board.

Fred is retired and currently managing property he owns.

Secretary
Jill is a paralegal for the Wyoming Attorney General's
office in Cheyenne.

Treasurer
Lew is the Vice President of Lending at Wyoming Employees
Federal Credit Union. Lew is also a member of the Development
Committee.

Margaret Brown
Development Committee
Margaret is from Laramie, Wyoming and is a strong advocate for
her community and children.

Dr. Dijkstal is an ophthalmologist at the Cheyenne Eye Clinic.

Programs Committee
Gay, former Attorney General of Wyoming, is an attorney at
Woodhouse Law Office. She has been a Wyoming leader on behalf
of children and abused women.

Pravina is a visual artist and owner of Pravina's Studio. She
has exhibited her work nationwide.

Rick is the Vice President of
Marketing at Blue Cross Blue Shield and has been with Blue
Cross Blue Shield
for 24 years. Rick lives in Cheyenne with his wife and
children and is a new board member.
